BECOME A VOLUNTEER

We’re so happy that you are excited about our pet therapy program! Pet Therapy or Animal Assisted Intervention is incredibly satisfying and rewarding. You will experience “God moments” on every visit.

Our group of teams has values that are alike.  We all love our dogs and we love Jesus!  We’ve found that everyone benefits from a visit from our dogs.  We get to be the hands and feet of Jesus, our dogs have a job to do and the people we visit get a listening ear, a comforting touch and the physical contact of a loving dog.  Plus, we have connection with fun and loving people who love their dogs!

The steps below provide an outline for the process to become a volunteer.

FILL OUT MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION

Click the button below to fill out the application to become a volunteer. Once the form has been submitted, you are ready to schedule a meet & greet with your dog.

MEET & GREET

Schedule and meet for a basic temperament test of your dog and get answers to any questions that you might have. Click the button below to schedule.

REGISTER WITH PET PARTNERS

Once you have completed your Meet & Greet, please visit the Pet Partners website and begin the registration process.  Pet Partners is the national group that we are affiliated with. Complete all steps on the registration site page.

COMPLETE HANDLER'S CLASS

Each volunteer is required to take the handler’s class and assessment through Pet Partners. For more information about what to expect and what qualities make for an ideal volunteer, explore our FAQ page.

TAKE THE HANDLER COURSE ASSESSMENT EXAM

The assessment is taken online with Pet Partners. Volunteers can take it any time prior to their evaluation.  To access the assessment, log in to the Pet Partners account that was created when you registered in step #03.

TAKE FINAL IN-PERSON EVALUATION

Schedule and complete your final in-person evaluation of you and your dog.

You can schedule your evaluation with Pet Partners online by clicking the button below.

SUBMIT ACCEPTANCE LETTER

Once you complete your evaluation, Pet Partners will send you an email with instructions for submitting payment for insurance. Once payment is complete, they will email you an acceptance letter validating that you have completed the course. Upload your acceptance letter below.

CREATE MEMBER LOGIN

To complete the remaining steps to become a volunteer, you will need to have member access to this site with your own personal login. Create your account by clicking the button below. Once your account has been approved, you can access the remaining steps to becoming a volunteer by clicking the "Final Steps" button below.
